Westgarth Junior School football team were very disappointed to not win the Derek Butcher Memorial Cup, which is in the memory of an old teacher at their school who fell to his death from Huntcliffe at Saltburn. Smiles are now back on their faces, they have been given special runners-up medals bought by their parents at a surprise presentation. Holding up the medals are D Halliwell (captain), A Stevenson, M Andrews, G Robinson, C Atterton, M Goundry, M Russell, L Goldsmith, J McBurney, D Bellamy, A Myers, J Dowle and M Stevenson. 22nd May 1981
