This evocative painting by Malcolm Greensmith captures the amalgamation of four historic regiments to form the modern Royal Regiment of Fusiliers in 1968. In the top left corner, the Lancashire Fusiliers, distinguished by their red and green facings and tall bearskin hats, proudly display their regimental colours. To their right, the Royal Warwickshire Fusiliers, with their distinctive blue facings and red collars, stand at attention. The Royal Northumberland Fusiliers, represented in the top right corner, are identified by their yellow facings and red collars. The Royal Fusiliers (City of London), depicted in the bottom left, are recognized by their dark blue facings and red collars. The fusion of these proud regimental traditions came together to create the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, a distinguished and storied part of the British military history. The soldiers, dressed in their full regimental uniforms, exude a sense of discipline, pride, and camaraderie.
