This particular variant was developed for the Royal Air Force (RAF) as a training and utility aircraft. The Sidestrand III was a versatile aircraft, capable of carrying out various roles, including passenger transport, mail delivery, and even glider towing. Its open cockpit design and large cargo bay made it an ideal choice for short-range missions.
