The white spruce is a coniferous tree belonging to the Pinaceae family, specifically the subfamily Pinoideae, and the genus Picea. This drawing, Sketch 42 from Volume 66 of Ehret's works, is held in the esteemed Botany Library at the Natural History Museum in London.
