EDITORS COMMENTS
In this photo print, we are transported back to the 12th of December 1967, where the iconic Bee Gees can be seen examining a remarkable early Christmas present from their agent Robert Stigwood. The gift in question is none other than a stunning 1948 Rolls Royce Silver Wraith, which was bestowed upon them as a special token of celebration for reaching an impressive milestone - selling one million records of their hit single "Massachusetts". Four out of the five members of the group gather around this luxurious vehicle in Adams Row, Mayfair. With great care and enthusiasm, they meticulously polish and clean every inch of its gleaming exterior. Mr. Stigwood had spared no expense in ensuring that this magnificent car was brought back to its former glory; it underwent a complete transformation with re-upholstery and repainting while also receiving an engine overhaul. Although Robin Gibb could not join his bandmates for this memorable snapshot, Colin Peterson, Vince Melouney, Barry Gibb & Robin's brother himself all radiate joy and excitement as they appreciate their extraordinary gift. This photograph captures not only a moment frozen in time but also represents the immense success achieved by these talented musicians during the swinging sixties. It serves as a testament to their hard work and dedication that propelled them towards becoming one of music history's most influential groups.
