Sock it to them... Pupils at Ashbrow Junior School, who have been helping Romanian orphans. Class six held a fun day with a variety of fund-raising events. The class has been working with its twin class at a Leeds school to raise money for the orphanage visited by TV star Anneka Rice in her Challenge Anneka programme. As well as collecting cash, the pupils have collected wool and socks which will be given to volunteer Liz Smith when the two classes meet for a special presentation. Debbie Ayton (front left) and Manroop Singh (right) are pictured with their money-spinning classmates. 17th June 1991
