This striking photograph captures a historic moment in French imperial history: the young Prince Imperial, Napoleon Eugène Louis Bonaparte (1856-1879), accompanied by his parents, Emperor Napoléon III (1808-1873) and Empress Eugénie (1826-1920), attending the opening session of the Corps Legislatif in February 1865.
