This print from Memory Lane Prints takes us back to the intense days of Operation Blackcock during World War II. The image showcases a British tank triumphantly passing through Susteren, as part of the Second Army's offensive on the Western Front. The operation aimed to clear German troops from the Roer Triangle, an area encompassing Roermond and Sittard in the Netherlands, along with Heinsberg in Germany. Between January 14th and 26th, 1945, under challenging circumstances, the British soldiers fought relentlessly to push back the formidable German 15th Army across rivers Roer and Wurm.
