Sliding to fund-raising success are these children, who will be joining the new St Barnabas Playgroup, Crosland Moor, when it opens on November 4. Mrs Tracy Stott, a founder-member and the playgroup leader, is pictured checking their names for a sponsored slide which raised about £ 200 for playgroup equipment. The event was held at Ivy Street recreation ground, Crosland Moor, and was one of a number of activities being organised to raise a total of £ 646.71 needed for equipment. A £ 100 donation has been given by Goodalls Caravans, Crosland Moor, and fund-raising events coming up include a jumble sales and coffee evenings. 18th September 1987
