Irish Guard formation (1st April 1900) due to the bravery and courage shown by the Irish regiment in South Africa during the Boer war (11 Oct 1899 ?? 31 May 1902). The Irish Guards, is one of the Foot Guards regiments of the British Army and is part of the Guards Division.
