This photograph showcases the historic Gordon Arms pub, located in the heart of Fareham, Hampshire (PO16 7TG). The Gordon Arms, which was not owned by the Charrington and Company Limited, was a quintessential British pub, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere where friends could gather over a pint of ale or a hearty meal. The pub's history dates back to the early 20th century, and it was a fixture in the town of Fareham for many decades. As of July 2018, however, the Gordon Arms, like so many pubs in the UK, was no more. The building had been converted into housing, a sad loss for those who held fond memories of the pub and the role it played in the community.
