Poster produced for the London & North Eastern Railway (LNER), promoting the Coronation, shown here hauled by the A4 steam locomotive Dominion of Canada. Built in 1937 in celebration of the coronation of George VI (1895-1952) the train served the route between Kings Cross, London and Edinburgh, and could run at consistently high speeds over long distances. Both locomotive and train were designed by Sir Nigel Gresley (1876-1941), pioneer of the streamlined A4 locomotive
