Cecilie was one of the older sisters of the present Duke of Edinburgh. She was killed, together with her husband and two sons in a plane crash on route to her brother-in-laws wedding in 1937. The Princess, born on August 11, 1911, was the eldest sister of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, and a beloved member of the Greek and German royal families. The image showcases the Princess's radiant beauty and maternal love as she gazes down at her cherubic daughter, Johanna, who was born on March 2, 1935.
