Middlesex Hospital, Cleveland Street, London
The Middlesex Hospital on Cleveland Street in Londons Fitzrovia district. The building was erected in the 1770s as a workhouse for the parish of St Paul, Covent Garden. From 1836 to 1872 it served as the Strand Union workhouse, then became a hospital for the Central London Sick Asylums District until 1913, later becoming an annexe of the Middlesex Hospital. In 2011, it gained listed building status. Date: 1926
