In this iconic photograph, taken by Darren Walsh of Action Images, we witness a pivotal moment in Everton Football Club's history: the debut goal of Duncan Ferguson on October 31,1998, against Manchester United in the FA Premier League. Ferguson, a Scottish international striker, had only joined Everton a few days prior, following a controversial transfer from Newcastle United. The Toffees were in desperate need of a boost, and the signing of the fiery forward was met with great anticipation by the fans.
