This print, titled "The battlefield of the Alma, night after the battle, 1854 (1857)", takes us back to a significant moment in history. The image depicts the aftermath of the Battle of Alma during the Crimean War in 1854. In this haunting scene, we witness the devastating consequences of war. The battlefield is strewn with fallen soldiers and lifeless bodies. The torchlight illuminates the darkness, casting an eerie glow on this tragic tableau.
