This momentous occasion marked the introduction of the innovative "Express Till Service" aimed at revolutionizing customer experience. The machine, designed to facilitate withdrawals of up to £50 at a time, promised to expedite the cashing of cheques for customers. To determine the desired amount, telephone-type dials were conveniently located on the left side. Once set, the machine swiftly delivered the requested notes down a chute without requiring Mr. Treacy or any other teller to manually count them before handing them over to eager customers. The photograph beautifully captures both anticipation and excitement as people queued up with hopes of accessing their funds more efficiently than ever before.
