This print captures the essence of Les Six, an avant-garde musical group sponsored by the renowned Jean Cocteau in 1921. Painted by Jacques-Emile Blanche, this oil on canvas artwork measures an impressive 190.5x112 cm and is housed at the Musee des Beaux-Arts in Rouen, France. In the center of the composition sits pianist Marcelle Meyer, surrounded by five members of Les Six: Germaine Tailleferre, Darius Milhaud, Arthur Honegger, Jean Wiener. On the right side stands Georges Auric, Francis Poulenc (known for his homage to Erik Satie), and their sponsor Jean Cocteau himself.
