HRH The Princess Anne visited the headquarters of the Royal Aeronautical Society at No.4 Hamilton Place, London, on 20 May 1974 to present the Whitney Straight Award, a sculpture by Dame Barbara Hepworth, to Mrs Yvonne Sintes, right, in recognition of her contribution to civil aviation as an ATC Officer and commercial pilot. The Whitney Straight Award was donated in 1967 by Air Cdre Whitney Straight, Deputy Chairman of Rolls-Royce, to recognise the achievement and status of women in aviation
