This striking equestrian portrait captures the Duke of Wellington, Arthur Wellesley (1769-1852), in the prime of his military career. Painted by the renowned Spanish artist Francisco Goya (1746-1828) in 1812, the portrait is a testament to the Duke's victories on the battlefield.
