EDITORS COMMENTS

Standing tall and proud against the night sky, we are greeted by the iconic St. Basil's Cathedral - a true architectural masterpiece. The cathedral, officially known as the Cathedral of Vasily the Blessed or Pokrovsky Cathedral, was commissioned by Ivan the Terrible and built from 1555-61. Its construction commemorates Ivan's triumphant capture of Kazan and Astrakhan. As darkness falls upon Red Square, an ethereal glow emanates from within its walls. The building is beautifully illuminated, casting a warm light that dances across its intricate domes and spires. Against a backdrop of twinkling stars, it creates a mesmerizing sight that leaves one in awe.
