In 1934, Wells became the first female member of Wiley College's debate team, breaking barriers and paving the way for future generations. The gold chain bracelet features two exquisite charms that hold great significance. The first charm, crafted in 1934, bears a cross emblem surrounded by an elegant wreath design. Etched text on the cross proudly displays [Col. /Chas. E Young/Service/Award/34]. On one side of this cherished charm are Greek letters at the top while the other side boasts Henrietta Bell Wells' initials [HB] in elaborate type within a wreath-like motif. The second charm is circular and made from lustrous gold by Bojar Manufacturing Company.
