Zacatecas, teleferico system on the Bufa mountain is an old Aerial Tram and dates

Zacatecas, teleferico system on the Bufa mountain is an old Aerial Tram and dates from 1975, it was meant as a medium of transportation but today is more like a touristic atraction on the city.
The state name derives from the name of its capital, Zacatecas. This word is derived from Nahuatl and means -where there is abundant zacate (grass), Zacatecas is located in North-Central Mexico, The state is best known for its rich deposits of silver and other minerals, its colonial architecture and its importance during the Mexican revolution. Its main economic activities are mining, agriculture and tourism.
The city had its start as a Spanish mining camp in the mid 16th century. Native Americans had already known about the areas rich deposits of silver and other minerals. Due to the wealth that the mines provided, Zacatecas quickly became one of the most important cities in New Spain, with much of its silver enriching the Spanish crown. The area saw battles during the turbulent 19th century, but the next major event was the Battle of Zacatecas during the Mexican Revolution when Francisco Villa captured the town, an event still celebrated every anniversary. Today, the colonial part of the city is a World Heritage Site, due to the Baroque and other structures built during its mining days. Mining still remains an important industry

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases the breathtaking Zacatecas teleferico system on the Bufa mountain, a historic aerial tram that dates back to 1975. Originally designed as a means of transportation, it has now transformed into a popular tourist attraction in the city of Zacatecas, Mexico. The name "Zacatecas" itself is derived from Nahuatl and translates to "where there is abundant zacate (grass)". Located in North-Central Mexico, this state is renowned for its vast silver and mineral deposits, stunning colonial architecture, and significant role during the Mexican Revolution. The city of Zacatecas traces its origins back to a Spanish mining camp established in the mid-16th century. Native Americans had long been aware of the region's wealth in silver and other minerals. As these mines flourished, Zacatecas rapidly emerged as one of New Spain's most influential cities, with its silver enriching the Spanish crown. Throughout the turbulent 19th century battles ensued here; however, it was during the Mexican Revolution that Francisco Villa captured Zacatecas in a momentous event still commemorated annually. Today, Zacatecas' colonial district stands proudly as a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its magnificent Baroque structures built during its prosperous mining era. Mining continues to be an integral industry within this vibrant state alongside agriculture and tourism. This remarkable print captures not only the beauty of Zacatecas but also pays homage to its rich history and cultural significance.
