EDITORS COMMENTS
In this electrifying moment captured by Paul Hazlewood of Albion Images, Jake Robinson celebrates his first senior hat-trick for Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club at Huddersfield Town. The date was September 11,2004, and the Seagulls were visiting the Galpharm Stadium in a League One fixture. The atmosphere was tense as both teams fought for supremacy, but Robinson was determined to make an impact. In the 31st minute, he received a perfectly timed pass from a teammate, maneuvered past the defender with his quick footwork, and slotted the ball home with a cool finish. The crowd held their breath as the referee signaled the goal was valid, and the Seagulls faithful erupted in jubilation. Just seven minutes later, Robinson struck again, this time from the penalty spot, after a foul in the box. He confidently stepped up, took a deep breath, and sent the ball soaring into the net, giving the Albion a commanding 2-0 lead. As the second half began, the visitors continued to press, and in the 63rd minute, Robinson completed his hat-trick with a stunning volley from the edge of the box. The crowd went wild as the Seagulls' number 10 ran towards the corner flag, punching the air in triumph. This hat-trick was a turning point in Robinson's career, and it propelled him to new heights. He went on to become a fan favorite and a crucial player for Brighton & Hove Albion, helping them to promotion to the Championship and eventually the Premier League. This iconic photo serves as a reminder of his incredible performance that day at Huddersfield and the excitement he brought to the Seagulls' fanbase.
