EDITORS COMMENTS
In this heartwarming photo print, we see two young girls, Rosemarie Brownlie and Emma Bennington, both 9 years old, proudly displaying their incredible achievement. These Guisborough Brownies have managed to raise a remarkable £111 through their own bazaar fundraiser. Their motivation for this impressive feat stems from their compassion towards a little Saltburn schoolboy who is battling cancer. Determined to make a difference in his life and the lives of other children facing similar challenges, they have chosen to donate their hard-earned funds to the children's cancer ward at Newcastle Royal Infirmary. The joy radiating from Rosemarie and Emma's smiles captures the true essence of childhood innocence and selflessness. Their dedication to helping others shines brightly as they hold up their donation with pride. Behind these inspiring young girls stands Joan Heath, their Brownie guider. She shares how touched she is by the empathy displayed by Rosemarie and Emma towards those less fortunate than themselves. It is clear that under her guidance, these brownies have learned valuable lessons about charity and kindness. This photograph not only encapsulates the spirit of giving but also serves as a reminder that even small acts can make an enormous impact on someone's life. The generosity shown by these young fundraisers reminds us all of the power we possess to bring hope and happiness into the world around us.
