Bobs fast round-up: Before hill farmer Bobby Lennox took up biking to the round-up
Bobs fast round-up: Before hill farmer Bobby Lennox took up biking to the round-up, his life was a proper sheepdog trail. The vastness of his sprawling farm at Luss in Dunbartonshire meant that Jet - his collie dog - and two other canine helpers, just couldn t cope with all their 2300 flock. So after scrambling around for a solution, 28-year-old Bobby adopted a cross-country motorbike to help on the 5000-acre spread. Bobby says: " Since we trained the dogs to squat on the bikes while we ride around, we ve saved countless livestock." March 1983 P004550
