Rerum sicularum libri VIII, by Nicolai Specialis (Nicola Speciale, 14th century historian of Sicilian origin). In his work he described the deeds of the kings of the Crown of Aragon and Sicily between 1282 and 1337. Marca Hispanica sive limes hispanicus. Book written in Latin by Pierre de Marca (1594-1662). In 1656 he was commissioned to formalise the border treaty between the kingdoms of France and Spain, a task that was reflected in this collection of five books, making the French people aware of the annexed province of Catalonia in 1641. In his work, he meticulously detailed the deeds of the kings of the Crown of Aragon and Sicily between 1282 and 1337.
Also featured in this image is Marca Hispanica sive limes hispanicus, a book written in Latin by Pierre de Marca in the 17th century. De Marca was tasked with formalizing the border treaty between France and Spain, which ultimately led to Catalonia being annexed by France in 1641.
