Dorcas Gazelle Glass Coaster Collection

Dorcas gazelle (Gazella dorcas) is a species of antelope found in the Middle East and North Africa, and is one of the smallest gazelles, with a shoulder height of up to 60 cm and a weight of up to 20 kg. Its fur is light tan with white underparts and black stripes running along its sides and can social animals, living in herds that can contain up to several hundred individuals. They feed on grasses, herbs, shrubs, leaves and flowers during the day and rest at night in open areas or rocky outcrops and can threatened by habitat loss due to human activities such as overgrazing, agricultural expansion and urban development and are hunted for their meat and fur by local people for subsistence purposes or by trophy hunters for sport. Conservation efforts have been put into place to protect this species from extinction but more needs to be done if we want future generations to enjoy these beautiful animals in their natural habitats.
