Wolfgang Kalauch: A Sidecar Racing Legend For over a decade, Wolfgang Kalauch left an indelible mark on the world of sidecar racing. From his early days partnering with Rolf Steinhausen and Klaus Enders to his later triumphs alongside Siegfried Schauzu and Helmut Fath, Kalauch's name became synonymous with speed, skill, and sheer determination. In 1977, at the Sidecar TT race held in Konig, Kalauch teamed up with Rolf Steinhausen to showcase their incredible chemistry on the track. Their synchronized maneuvers left spectators in awe as they pushed boundaries and set new standards for sidecar racing. Klaus Enders was another esteemed partner of Kalauch's during the 1970 500 Sidecar TT race at Governors Bridge. Together, they displayed unparalleled teamwork and clinched victory amidst fierce competition. The year 1971 witnessed yet another remarkable performance by Kalauch when he joined forces with Siegfried Schauzu aboard a BMW motorcycle for the 500 Sidecar TT race. Their seamless coordination earned them well-deserved recognition among their peers. In 1975, it was time for Kalauch to conquer new horizons alongside Schauzu once again. This time riding a powerful 1000cc BMW machine during the Sidecar TT event, they proved unstoppable as they crossed the finish line victoriously. One cannot discuss Wolfgang Kalauch without mentioning his partnership with Helmut Fath in various races throughout their careers. In both 1967 and 1968 Sidecar TT races riding URS motorcycles together, these two legends showcased unmatched synergy that propelled them to success. Kalauch's talent extended beyond specific partnerships too; he also collaborated effectively with Arsenius Butscher in multiple races using BMW motorcycles. The duo made waves during the exhilarating Sidecar TT events held in both 1965 and 1968, leaving spectators in awe of their skills.
