Closer home in India under Lord Curzon's Viceroyalty reigned an era marked by significant reforms aimed at modernization and progress across various domains. The realm of spirituality also witnessed its share of intrigue as mediums like Leonora Piper captured people's fascination with their alleged ability to communicate with spirits from beyond our world. Artistic expression flourished during this period too; Théophile A. Steinlen immortalized Parisian nightlife through his iconic poster "Tournée du Chat Noir, " capturing the essence of the bohemian spirit.
