Albert Johan Kramer (June 15, 1897-April 1976). His birth weight was 19 pounds. At the age of 7 he was said to be already 6 feet 7 inches tall and at the age of 21 his height 7 feet 6 inches. His final height was 7 feet 9.5 inches tall, although his maximum reported height was 8 feet 9¾ inches. He weighed 364 pounds. He worked as a vaudeville artist in the Netherlands, Germany, UK and USA. His artists names were Lofty (UK) and Jan van Albert (USA, Europe). He died in 1976, just short of his 79th birthday. Gigantism, also known as giantism, is a condition characterized by excessive growth and height significantly above average. In humans, this condition is caused by over-production of growth hormone in childhood resulting in persons between 7 feet and 9 feet tall. © New York Public Library / Science Source

Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame. While we aim to keep sizing consistent, exact dimensions may vary slightly due to differences in print size or production requirements, which may result in a variation in the overall size (up to approximately 2.5cm (1"))
