Framed Print of Bathurst Inlet, Mars, Curiosity image C015 / 6504

Bathurst Inlet. Close-up of a rock called Bathurst Inlet on the surface of Mars taken by the Mars Hand Lens Imager (MAHLI) on NASAs Curiosity Rover. The rock is dark grey and appears to be so fine-grained that MAHLI cannot resolve grains or crystals in it. This means that the grains or crystals, if there are any at all, are smaller than about 80 microns in size. Imaged on 2nd October 2012. Science Photo Library features Science and Medical images including photos and illustrations. © NASA/SCIENCE PHOTO LIBRARY
