False-colour transmission electron micrograph (TEM) of the bacterium Clostridium tetani, a Gram- positive, spore-forming, anaerobic bacillus (rod- shaped bacterium) that causes tetanus. Members of the Clostridium genus exist as soil saprophytes and as intestinal parasites of animals, giving rise to serious human diseases, including botulism, gas gangrene and severe intestinal infections, in addition to tetanus. Tetanus is common in societies where bare-footed humans live in close association with cattle or domestic animals, although the disease may result from trivial wounds to the skin. Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass).
