Brunfelss Herbarium (1530). Title page for Herbarium vivae eicones by the German theologian and botanist Otto Brunfels (1488-1534). This work was published in Strasbourg in three parts between 1530 and 1536. The botanical artworks were done from life by German artist Hans Weiditz the Younger (1495-c.1537). The title page includes the publication year of 1530 in Roman numerals, and the authors name in Latin (Oth. Brune). Allegorical and mythological scenes include the Golden Apples of the Hesperides won by Hercules (bottom). At left is Ancient Greek physician Dioscorides. Greek and Roman deities include Apollo (right) and Venus (top)

Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached.
