This photograph shows two young miners having a break ( croust is a traditional Cornish word for a break for food). One man has a sledge hammer the other a mining type pick. The man on the left is lighting his pipe with a candle, while the the other wears candles on a string around his neck and sits on a water barrel. He drinks water out of a metal or ceramic bottle. His pasty, in a white linen bag, is balanced on his knee. The title of the photograph is incorrectly written as Cornish Mineing Series, Grouse Time'. Photographer: Unknown. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass).
