EDITORS COMMENTS
This print by Paul Brown transports us to the enchanting city of Rabat, Morocco. The image captures a breathtaking view of the Bou Regreg River as seen from the ancient walls of the Kasbah of the Udayas. The Kasbah, dating back to the 12th century, stands proudly on a hilltop overlooking this picturesque scene. Its weathered walls tell stories of centuries past and offer a glimpse into Morocco's rich history and architectural heritage. As we gaze upon this panoramic vista, our eyes are drawn towards the meandering river that gracefully flows through Rabat. The Bou Regreg River serves as both a natural boundary and an important harbor for this coastal city in North Africa. The tranquil waters reflect shimmering hues of blue and green, mirroring the clear sky above. Along its banks, traditional fishing boats rest peacefully while seagulls soar overhead, adding life to this serene tableau. From here, one can appreciate how seamlessly nature blends with urban life in Rabat. The river's mouth opens up to reveal expansive views of the Atlantic Ocean beyond—a reminder that Morocco is not only steeped in history but also blessed with stunning natural beauty. Paul Brown's masterful composition perfectly encapsulates these elements—history, culture, and nature—in one frame. This print invites us to immerse ourselves in its timeless charm and embark on an imaginary journey through time along these ancient walls.
