The date is May 4th, 1912, and we are presented with a general view of the station as we gaze towards the northeast. The image showcases the bustling activity that once thrived within these historical railway grounds. Passengers eagerly await their trains while porters scurry about attending to luggage and ensuring a smooth boarding process. Gisburn station served as a vital transportation hub for both passengers and goods until its closure many years later. On September 10th, 1962, it bid farewell to its role in facilitating passenger travel before finally ceasing operations for goods transportation on March 23rd, 1964.
