John Ferguson, a Coventry bespoke tailor, who specialises in suits for gamekeepers has saved a mens outfitters from closure. Mr Ferguson is a Lancastrian, aged 57 and came to Coventry to work after the war because he had married a Coventry Girl. He was apprenticed in a tailors shop in Wigan and joined Harold Freedmans tailoring business in Coventry 36 years ago and became the owner in 1968. I became established providing suits for estate workers such as chauffers or gamekeepers, who needed a tailored suit as a uniform for their job, he said. He has taken over A. Morleys of Far gosford Street, the oldest mens outfitters shop in the city. It will mean a move just down the road from number 60 to 67. Morleys was established in 1910 and was run for 54 years by Annie Morley who died in her 80s.

Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame.
