Framed Print of Pistols at dawn: Mr. John Barnard and Dr. Michael Carson faced each other in the crisp

Pistols at dawn: Mr. John Barnard and Dr. Michael Carson faced each other in the crisp Hertfordshire dawn on Sunday 5th October, ten paces apart and each armed with an antique duelling pistol. Honour was satisfied when Dr. Carson, 53, of Wimpole Street, was seen to be hit and blood welled up from beneath his strangely unmarked shirt for the second time when another volley of shots rang out. Dr. Carson..... besmirched a ladys name. October 1980 P004975. © Mirrorpix
