Diane Cilen Actress to 1958 at BBC where she will play leading role in Strange Interlude by Eugene O Neill with Ian Dallas who has adapted play smoking cigarette
Diane Cilentos parents were both prominent medics yet Cilento chose to follow a career in acting rather than medicine. She made her first film in 1952 entitled Wings of Danger and appeared on stage for the first time a year later. Since then she has alternated between the stage and screen, her finest performance coming as Molly Seagrim in 1963s Tom Jones. In 1962 she became the envy of almost every woman on the planet when she married Sean Connery. Their marriage lasted until 1973 and produced one son, Jason Connery. Cilento now concentrates on writing more than acting. © Mirrorpix
