This was how farmer Marian Burgess brought the best out of a frozen spring lamb. She popped it in the oven at low heat and left it to thaw out gently overnight. Next morning the lamb was as good as new and ready for the fields rather than the dinner table. Marian had found the youngster, named Lucky, during wintry weather on her farm at Whaley Bridge in Derbyshire.
