Birdman Bryan Allen flew into the record books by cycling across the English Channel. The saddle-sore Californian pedalled his magnificent machine over in less than three hours to make the first non-powered flight to France. It was worth every muscle tugging minute. For the historic flight earned Bryan a £ 100, 000 prize offered as a challenge by British industrialist Henry Kremer. Bryan, 26, achieved his extraordinary feat on an amazing collection of tubes, glue, tape and a monster 96ft. wingspan christened Gossamer Albatross. In perfect windless conditions he skimmed at seven miles an hour ten feet above the 22 miles of water separating Folkestone from Cap Gria Nex.

Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass).
