Liverpool verses Wimbledon. FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium

Liverpool verses Wimbledon.
FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium. 14th May 1988
The 1988 FA Cup Final was the 107th final of the FA Cup.
Liverpool were the club side of the 1980s and were newly crowned league champions going into this final.
Wimbledon were the underdogs.
Wimbledon won the contest 1 - 0 with a Laurie Sanchez goal in the 37th minute and a penalty save from Wimbledon goalkeeper and captain Dave Beasant, saving the spot kick taken by Liverpools John Aldridge. This would be the first penalty miss in a cup final.
Picture shows the teams walking out. In the red is Liverpool player Craig Johnston, and behind him in the white headband is Gary Gillespie.
