EDITORS COMMENTS
Formby Beach, captured by Stephen Shakeshaft on a serene autumn evening in 1980, unveils a mesmerizing transformation into a surrealistic shadowland. As the sun gracefully descends beneath the horizon, its golden rays paint the sky with hues of burnt orange and dusky pink, casting an ethereal glow upon the sandy shores. The beachscape becomes an otherworldly realm where reality merges with imagination. The photograph transports us to a time when simplicity reigned supreme - an era of nostalgia that was quintessentially 1980s. With every glance at this print, we are transported back to an age where life moved at a slower pace and nature's beauty took center stage. Formby Beach stands as a testament to England's natural wonders; located in Merseyside's Sefton district, it offers respite from bustling city life.
