Longwoods Clare Griffith has just returned from a taste of paradise - a zoology
Longwoods Clare Griffith has just returned from a taste of paradise - a zoology study on an uninhabited island in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Despite losing her luggage, being ill for eight days and having a journey of 640 miles by small boat from the Seychelles to Aldabra, Clare says she had a fantastic time. The island of Aldabra - famous for its huge population of giant tortoises - has been home for the last three months for Clare and three other zoology students from Nottingham University. Now back at home Clare, 21, is reliving her " castaway" experiences by writing up her study papers on zoology research, which she hopes to publish. She recently graduated with a zoology degree. 1st October 1985
