Toes twinkle and the disco dancing partners gets into the swing of things
Toes twinkle and the disco dancing partners gets into the swing of things. Forget Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. Who needs John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John? When it comes to the softpaw shuffle Sarah Crown and Lucy are a step ahead of the rest. Sarah, 3, is a great little dancer. But the star of the act has to be four-year-old Lucy, the mongrel with the twinkling rear paws. Together the pals sway, skip and boogie as happily as any grown-up disco duo in Romford, Essex. Their dancing began simply as a game for a child and her pet. But Sarahs father, busker Don Crown, reckons that Lucys talent should be taken seriously. After all, he has already trained two memorable stars--Budgie Sheen the motorcycling bird, and a mighty terrier called Russell the Muscle. September 1983

Toes Twinkle and the Disco Dancing Partners Get into the Swing of Things
EDITORS COMMENTS
. In this delightful print captured in September 1983, we witness a heartwarming display of talent, friendship, and pure joy. Meet Sarah Crown, a talented three-year-old dancer with moves that could rival any professional. But it is her four-legged partner-in-crime, Lucy the mongrel, who steals the show with her twinkling rear paws. What started as a simple game between a child and her pet has blossomed into something truly remarkable. As Sarah's father, busker Don Crown proudly shares his belief that Lucy's dancing prowess should be taken seriously. And why not? After all, he has already trained two unforgettable stars - Budgie Sheen the motorcycling bird and Russell the Muscle, an impressive terrier. Together on their Romford dance floor in Essex, these two pals sway to the rhythm of life with infectious enthusiasm. With every skip and boogie step they take together, they prove that age is just a number when it comes to finding happiness through music and movement. Forget about Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers or John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John; Toes Twinkle (Sarah) and Lucy are paving their own path in disco dancing history. Their bond transcends species boundaries as they twirl through childhood memories filled with laughter. This charming photograph captures an era where innocence met creativity on dance floors across Britain – an image forever frozen in time thanks to Freddie Reed
