Test flying 1915 style with Neil Williamson. White Waltham airfield sliped back 60 years this morning when a replica of a Vickers gun BVS 1915 taxied to the edge of the field and then took off. Piloted by one of the top men in the flying business, Neil Williamson, the Gun Bus was put through its paces and on the 1st of March leaves by ship for South Africa. The plane is to feature in the Michael Klinger film now being shot starring Lee Marvin and Roger Moore called " Shout at the devil". The Vickers Gun Bus was built by I.E.S. projects and it took 20 men, 10 weeks at a cost of around £ 18, 000 to complete. March 1975
