The Lord Lieutenant of Cleveland, Lord Gisborough, presented awards to servicemen and women from the Reserve Forces, , Cadet Forces and Royal Observer Corps. Outstanding Cadets were honoured by being chosen as Lord-Lieutenants cadets, to accompany him on official duties. They were: Chief Petty Officer Joanne Standingm Sea Cadet Corps, from Redcar; Cadet Sergeant Andrew Grainge, Cleveland Army Cadet Force, from Great Ayton: cadet Sgt Alexander Campbell, Central and East Yorkshire Wing Air training Corps, from Stockton.
