Framed Print of John Britten and Desmond Norman, one-time apprentices at the de Havilland aeronautical

John Britten and Desmond Norman, one-time apprentices at the de Havilland aeronautical engineering training school, formed a partnership with the aim of building low-maintenance, rugged aircraft capable of using short runways aircraft at Bembridge on the Isle of Wight.
The BN-2 islander was a huge sucess unlike the this BN-3 Nymph, a smaller, single-engined version. Only two prototypes were built. Neither made it into commercial production.
