This photograph, dating back to the late 19th century, transports us back in time to an era of grand entertainment and imaginative storytelling. The image showcases the intricately detailed scenery, with two rounded arches opening onto a breathtaking seascape. The arches, adorned with Corinthian columns and urns overflowing with flowers, frame the entrance to a fantastical world. The red velvet curtains, drawn aside, reveal a stunning landscape, complete with rolling hills, towering mountains, and a serene seascape.
